Welcome! I am Yufeng Mao, a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Padova. 

I will be joining the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS) as an Assistant Professor, jointly appointed by Fudan University, starting in mid-2025.

I have a Ph.D. in Econometrics from Monash University. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Econometrics and Actuarial Science from Monash University.

My current research is about developing and applying innovative econometric and statistical methodologies to gain new insights into economics and finance, with a particular focus on factor models and empirical asset pricing.

I am also passionate about exploring the transformative effects of emerging technologies, such as AI and blockchain, on the economic and financial landscape.
