Welcome! I am Yufeng Mao, an Assistant Professor at the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS), jointly appointed by Fudan University. Prior to joining SIMIS, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Padova.

I hold a PhD in Econometrics and a B.Com with honours in Econometrics, both from Monash University.

My current research is about developing and applying innovative econometric and statistical methodologies to gain new insights into economics and finance, with a particular focus on factor models and empirical asset pricing. I am also passionate about exploring the transformative effects of emerging technologies, such as AI and blockchain, on the economic and financial landscape.
